Have you ever used popcorn for fun activities?
For today’s Popcorn Day, we’ve decided to share with you a few fun activities that will make your little ones smile.
Popcorn Art is fun!
Bring popcorns to your classroom and prepare paints and brushes. We are making a popcorn art together! This is what you will need:
- Variety of paint
- Brushes (enough for each child and different paints)
- Hot glue
- Firm surface (Plastic, cardboard, wood, glass)
What you should do is let the classroom color the popcorns (1 by 1) and create a box full of colorful popcorns. Each child can then decide upon which type of surface to use as well as what type of art they will create. You can give them a few ideas, such as:
We are sure your classroom will have amazing ideas. If you have a theme you would like to cover with your classroom, this fun art activity is excellent for it.
Make a giant popcorn collage
This will be exiting for the whole class and they will have an opportunity to work as a group. Select a theme you wish to cover, color the popcorns just like in the previous game and start making a collage by gluing popcorns 1 at a time.
Create fun popcorn bags
Every child is going to like this activity. What you will need is the following:
- Small paper bags
- Markers, paint and stickers
The classroom now has a variety of options to choose. Either each one of them decorate their own bags or the whole classroom decorates 1 giant bag together. Whatever you decide, it will be fun to glue the popcorns all over the bag and decorate the rest of the bag with stickers and drawings.
Let’s play a popcorn game
Use a giant paper bowl in which you can place as many popcorns as possible. Separate the classroom into teams and let each team compete by trying to walk from point A to point B with the paper bowl of popcorns on their heads. The winner is the team with less spilled popcorns.
Enjoy your fun classroom activities together and share your popcorn ideas with us!
