Have you ever had a peek inside one of the Very Fairy Princess adventures?
She is a sweet little girl with interesting stories to tell. One time she is getting ready for the Winter Wonderland Festival, other times she is going to her aunt’s wedding. Her every adventure is full of exciting times and wonderful emotions. But that’s not all! Her adventures are the no.1 New York Times bestselling series!
Our this week’s suggestion for the upcoming Valentine’s Day is this special Very Fairy Princess story in a Valentine’s Day edition. Let’s have a look.
The Very Fairy Princess Follows Her Heart
The Very Fairy Princess Follows Her Heart, by Julie Andrews and Emma Walton Hamilton, illustrated by Christine Davenier, is a lovely and fun Valentine’s Day read for children.
The reason we like this story is because of its beautiful message. The main character is a happy and clever little girl named Gerry who likes to dress up like a little princess. She is very excited about the Valentine’s Day and she is getting ready for a Valentine’s Day surprise for her classmates. She makes beautiful Valentine’s cards for her friends, but unintentionally leaves them at home before going to school.
She accidentally takes a folder of Daddy’s work papers instead of her cards.
Oh my! What is Gerry going to do?
A positive message and encouraging words
She has no time to worry about it, but takes her lovely teacher’s help and makes the Valentine’s Day as special as she imagined. Gerry is full of encouraging words for each of her classmates and shares a positive message about being a good friend. This is why we would recommend this story for a usual read throughout the year, not only the Valentine’s Day.
Children will love the glittery artwork of the book cover written by an award-winning Julie Andrews - an English writer, actor and a cultural icon. They will enjoy Gerry’s dressing up and they will surely laugh at her cheeky and passionate preparations for the Valentine’s Day in school.
Rated with 4.4 out of 5 stars, The Very Fairy Princess Follows Her Heart received praise by many parents on Goodreads, out of which we would like to share a few with you:
