My First Biography: Christopher Columbus
Author: Marion Dane Bauer
My First Biography: Christopher Columbus is great way to introduce children to biographies, as well as for introducing American history to early readers. Enjoying adventures and discovery, a young Christopher Columbus dreamed about exploring unknown lands. This delightful biography is a nice read for preschoolers who will learn that following their dreams is the most amazing thing they could do when they grow up. The book is beautifully illustrated, with lyrical text and enjoyable images children can follow during reading.
Praise on Goodreads:
A great educational book for your children of all ages.
This would be a good book to read to children around Columbus Day. This is a good book for children because it tells of Christopher’s dream to set sail and how he made his dream come true.
The illustrations match the text perfectly, therefore a child could look at the pictures for clues as to what the text is saying. This is a good beginner book.
