Don’t you just love scarecrows?
They represent the season of autumn, pumpkins and Halloween. As kids enjoy a variety of activities with scarecrows, we are going to do one of them today. Let’s have a look.
Popsicle stick scarecrow project
This fun project is interesting both for parents and teachers as it can be done at home, as well as in classrooms. What you will need is the following:
What to do?
- Color the scarecrow’s parts
- Cut out Scarecrow’s parts by tracing each with scissors
- Glue the sticks (one on top of another, in shape of a cross)
- Glue the colored scarecrow’s part on the stick (to look like the one on the picture above)
In case you’re not sure what the final scarecrow should look like, there is an image of the final version on your downloaded sheet.
Voilà! Your scarecrow is ready to be used! Stay tuned for a fun singing activity you can do with your scarecrow! We’ll write about it tomorrow. In the meantime, check out our Pinterest board with a variety of other Scarecrow activities.
Have a wonderful day and scare crows away.
